PressPlay User Terms of Service

These User Terms (the "User Terms") govern your access and use of PressPlay's services (the "Services"). If you access or use the Services, or continue accessing or using the Services after being notified of a change to the User Terms, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the User Terms.

These Services are provided by PressPlay, Inc. ("PressPlay", "we", "our", or "us"). Please review our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect and use data relating to your use of our products.

1. Access via Customer Organizations

You may be invited to use PressPlay by an organization or individual ("Customer"), such as an employer or colleague, as part of a "Workspace." If you are joining a Workspace associated with a Customer, then that Customer controls your access to the Services, and these User Terms apply in addition to any agreements PressPlay has with the Customer ("Agreement"). You are an "Authorized User" under that Agreement.

The Customer controls key aspects of your use, including access management, integrations, data retention, and permissions. If your access is terminated by the Customer or the Agreement expires, your access to the Services will end as well.

2. Your Responsibilities

As an Authorized User, you are responsible for:

Using the Services in accordance with all applicable laws, including recording laws in your jurisdiction.

Ensuring you have consent to record or transcribe others when using PressPlay's meeting and transcription features.

Using your own login credentials and maintaining their confidentiality.

Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized use or security breach.

3. Restrictions on Use

You agree not to use the Services to:

Violate any law, including applicable privacy, data protection, or recording laws.

Harass, harm, defraud, or impersonate another person.

Access or attempt to access data or systems without authorization.

Modify, copy, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Services.

Reverse engineer or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Services.

Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Services or their infrastructure.

Violating these rules may result in suspension or termination of your access.

5. Content and Ownership

All content you submit to the Services — including transcripts, notes, recordings, summaries, and metadata — constitutes "Customer Data" and is owned by the Customer under whose Workspace it resides.

PressPlay uses aggregated and anonymized data to improve our services and may use Customer Data to provide features such as summarization, follow-up automation, and intelligent workflows. You may not store, distribute, or use other users' data unless authorized to do so.

6. Use of AI Services

PressPlay uses third-party AI providers, including Anthropic, to power transcription summaries and follow-up suggestions. We send meeting transcripts (not raw audio) to these services. Anthropic retains data for up to 30 days solely for abuse monitoring and does not use this data for training. By using our Services, you acknowledge and accept this use of AI.

7. Termination

These User Terms remain effective until terminated by you, the Customer, or PressPlay. You may stop using the Services at any time. PressPlay reserves the right to suspend or terminate access at our sole discretion, particularly for violations of these User Terms.

8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." PRESSPLAY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE EXTENT NOT PROHIBITED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PRESSPLAY BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. PRESSPLAY'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED $100.

9. Modifications

We may update these User Terms occasionally. If we make material changes, we'll notify you via email or through the app. Continuing to use the Services after changes become effective means you agree to the updated terms.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These User Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflicts of law. All disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in San Francisco, California, unless otherwise specified in an Agreement.
